Rick Jones, PrincipalRick is well known throughout the Chemical Industry, having worked for Union Carbide for many years. Following his career at Carbide, Rick worked for two global trading companies; first with Kolmar Petrochemicals, then as Chief Operating Officer of Continental Industries Group just prior to establishing Dauntless Chemical.
A Chemical Engineer by training, Rick received his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Rick spent the first half of his career at Union Carbide in R&D. He eventually became Director of R&D for the Ethylene Oxide Derivatives Division prior to moving to the commercial side of the business, where he ultimately became Business Director for Ethylene Oxide/Glycols.
Much of Rick's Union Carbide commercial experience was in the international arena, including heavy involvement in Far Eastern and Middle Eastern joint ventures and acquisitions, the latter including a two-year assignment in Wilton, England. While at Union Carbide, he attended two resident Executive Management Courses at Harvard Business School.
